The last six months have seen some major changes for us at Prime Document. Since the sale of the business in May, to an experienced management buy-in team backed by private equity funding, we’ve continued to grow and expand our services.
As the new managing director, with almost 30 years’ of experience in the document management outsourcing world, I am delighted to work with this excellent team to proactively address the changing face of the document management market. The market is moving from traditional, paper-based, processes to the various electronic multi-channels that are available.
As a company, we are able to deliver both. We’re ideally placed to support customers in the transition that is being driven by Government, demographics and the constant development of technology to communicate via email, portals, EDI, mobile and more. We do recognize that paper and post will remain a core channel for communication for some time to come and we’ll continue to invest in the technology that allows us to drive continuous improvement and efficiency in this channel.
We have been investing in the business, increasing the headcount by 25%, as we expand our sales, finance and production teams. We have built a new scanning facility in our premises in Whitefield to- deliver a service that allows us to capture customer data, from invoices for example in the Accounts Payable process, and feed the required data directly into our customer’s approval process. We are about to launch a new hybrid mail service for low-cost printing and dispatch of all classes of documents-customers will simply drop files into a desktop icon, we can print and post at a fraction of the cost you will incur for doing it in your office. We will continue to invest in bringing new and enhanced services to our customers as part of our plans to expand the business.
As a business that holds ISO 27001, 14001 and 9001 what we do is underpinned by assurances that we are structured and process-driven in what we do for our customers. I love that our talented developer team can proudly boast of being able to take data from our customers in any format and deliver it back in exactly the format our customers require. We take the pain out of the process of creating meaningful documents from data.
It has been a busy and dynamic six months, but this is just the start of our journey, that will see us bringing constant improvement and innovation to the world of Outsourced Document Management Services.
